Verse 1
Tuesday in July, ninety-six degrees Park bench, headphones, two-dollar iced tea I been writing every night since I was seventeen Mama said the rent was due, I said wait and see Now we in the parking lot, eighty deep Bottle in the air, every face on the screen Forty-two months riding Greyhound and bus Now the city in the rear-view, kicking up dust Brother said the speakers in the trunk gon' blow I said let 'em, we ain't ever coming back though Sky still pink behind the stadium light Heart in the throat, ribcage tight Brickell to the borough, every block knowing me I been dreaming of the moment, dreaming loudly Now the moment turning back like, you allowed me Bottom of the ninth, the whole crowd around me
Pre-chorus
Hands up, hands up Sky said sit down, we said stand up Heart pound, heart pound Whole block humming, here we go now
Chorus
Crowd goes loud, loud Sky goes loud, loud Stand on the speaker, hands in the cloud Right now, right now, right now, right now Crowd goes LOUD Crowd goes loud, loud Bass goes loud, loud Bottle in the hand and the whole world proud Right now, right now, right now, right now Crowd goes LOUD
Verse 2
Sister on the shoulder of my cousin's friend Sneakers brand new, gon' scuff 'em by ten Auntie texted, baby make us proud again Read it twice, then I put away the pen Forty-thousand strangers gon' know my name Lights cut out and the universe shake Bass kick hit like the floor 'bout to break I been working at the warehouse, six to four Lifting boxes, dreaming bigger than the door Now the door wide open, sky a million wide Every single tear from every single night Showing up tonight like a ledger paid Every single doubt that I ever made Showing up tonight like a friend at the gate Saying come on through, you ain't got to wait
Bridge
Made it to the moment Now the moment got loud Made it to the moment Now I'm part of the cloud Mama said the world ain't never gon' know your name World said back, watch the way it changes the game Right now, right now Right now, right now Sky cracking open like a can in the heat Whole life worth the wait, every breath, every beat Tuesday in July Ninety-six degrees Mama, look at me Mama, look at me
Chorus
Crowd goes loud, loud Sky goes loud, loud Stand on the speaker, hands in the cloud Right now, right now, right now, right now Crowd goes LOUD Crowd goes loud, loud Sun goes loud, loud Made it to the moment, made the moment proud Right now, right now, right now, right now Crowd goes LOUD
