Verse 1
Closet door for a tripod, fairy lights for the key, Talkin' to a screen! Didn't know about the numbers, didn't know about the fame, Know the name! Just knew I had a story, had to make 'em know the name, Know the name! Saved up all my money for a camera and a lens, Just a few! Hopin' that my vision would just make a couple friends, Just a few! Drawin' on my sneakers, thrifting all my clothes Plantin' little seeds and prayin' that they'd grow., Let's go!
Pre-chorus
And the nights got longer, scrollin' through the code Tryna find the magic on this lonely, windin' road They only see the "after"..., They don't know They don't know the chapter..., Nah
Chorus
Just a girl with a ring light and a dream in her room, Dream in her room! Now I'm the one that they all assume..., Yuh Flew first class, yeah, I'm flyin' past, Skrrt, skrrt Got the life they want, and it's happenin' fast., Fast! From a girl with a ring light and a hope in her heart, In her heart! Now I'm a sold-out billboard, a literal work of art., It's art!
Verse 2
Remember cryin' in my car, parked outside a store, 'Side a store 'Cause I couldn't pay for coffee, couldn't take it anymore, No more! Now the coffee shop is callin', wanna name a drink for me, Brrrp! That's the crazy kind of whiplash in this industry, That's crazy! Still feels like I'm actin', like I'm playin' out a part But the girl who started this is still inside my heart, Always She remind me be grateful, remind me to be kind To the girl who's startin' now, that I have left behind., For real
Pre-chorus
And the lights get brighter, harder now to see, So bright The simple, little moments that used to just be me They only see the highlight..., The highlight! Shining in the twilight..., Yeah
Bridge
And I wouldn't trade the journey, the stumbles and the scars For all the constellations, they don't shine as bright as these stars The ones that light my comments, the ones that fill my screen The ones who saw the vision, the ones who built the dream.
Outro
Still a girl with a ring light... and a dream in her room... Saved up all my money for a camera and a lens, Just a few! Hopin' that my vision would just make a couple friends, Just a few! Drawin' on my sneakers, thrifting all my clothes Plantin' little seeds and prayin' that they'd grow., Let's go!
