Verse 1

Three monitors humming, second coffee going cold, hardware wallet in my palm like it's a thing I get to hold. Named a folder for each of you, read-me-first, then your name, wrote the addresses out twice so nobody plays the blame game. Zero-x and forty digits, I sound 'em out like prayer, print a copy for the safe 'cause the cloud was never there. I'm not leaving you a fortune, I'm leaving you a map a ledger of the love I made; please don't lose the app.

Prechorus

I'm making it simple. I'm making it simple. One folder, one key, one door. I'm making it simple so you don't have to learn what I learned before.

Chorus

It's all in the folder, baby, it's all in the path, slash-catalog, slash-legacy, the long way and the math. I built you a hallway when I couldn't build a hand I hope the folder holds you better than I planned. All in the folder. All in the folder.

Verse 2

Cousin in a waiting room, fluorescent and too warm, trying to tell Aunt Della that twelve words could weather any storm. "It's not a password, it's a phrase, write it, never type it twice," while the ticker on her cracked screen can't make up its mind on a price. The lawyer's never seen a will that opens with a seed, keeps asking for "the account" like there's a bank that we could read. Della folds her hands and says, "He always made it hard," and somewhere in a kitchen drawer there's the read-me, on a card.

Prechorus

He was making it simple. He was making it simple. One folder, one key, one door. He was making it simple now we're learning what he learned before.

Chorus

It's all in the folder, but the folder needs a hand, slash-catalog, slash-legacy, the part we understand. He built us a hallway, now we're standing in the dark, fumbling for the light switch that he left us in the cards. All in the folder. All in the folder.

Verse 3

Back when I still had the time, I wrote a charter down a little DAO to run the catalog when I'm not around. split pays you on the first, the contract never sleeps, equal votes for equal shares, the kind of fair that keeps. I imagined you all reasonable, a quorum and a calm, a governance for grief, like grief could ever read a palm. I coded for the money but I never coded you, the messy part, the human part, the thing no contract knew.

Bridge

Function execute. Function execute. The logic runs exactly as it's written which is the problem. Which was always the problem. It does exactly what I said. Not what I meant.

Verse 4

Eleven faces on a call, the bandwidth and the bile, half of 'em want it liquid, half want to build a while. "Sell it now, the floor is good," "no, we hold and grow the name," and the multisig just sits there needing three to sign the same. The lawyer's on mute, lost; the contract will not bend, it wants its three approvals and it does not have a friend. Della left the meeting first. Somebody starts to cry. The folder did its job. The family asks it why.

Verse 5

I can't script you, can I. I can leave the doors unlocked, but I can't write the kindness, can't deploy it to the block. So I'll name one last folder, and I'll leave it almost bare just whatever-you-decide, and a note that says I'm there. The cousin shuts the laptop, lets the argument go cold, takes one unreleased loop from the legacy, turns it gold. Starts something new and small, doesn't ask the DAO's permission the governance unresolved, but the music finds its mission.

Outro

...read the first file first. All in the folder. [Loop] It's all in the folder, baby, it's all in the path, slash-catalog, slash-legacy, the long way and the math. I built you a hallway when I couldn't build a hand. I hope the folder holds you better than I planned. All in the folder. All in the folder. Reflective orchestral trap with lo-fi moments; dual-timeline story about an NFT music catalog inheritance, a folder, and a digital will. Cinematic strings and piano swells over modern trap drums; vinyl hiss in the quiet moments. - Soft string pads under the hooks for emotional lift. - Lo-fi filter on every "future cousin" section to differentiate the timeline. - Keep drums understated - let the story carry. - Subtle choir pad enters in the bridge for the legacy feel.
